Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are the latest emergence in the world of Decentralized Finance (DeFi) that have made it possible for artists to reach a bigger audience and make their artwork available for beholding, sale, and resale in a digital form. The NFT landscape is booming in 2021, with total sales of NFTs having reached billions; July alone saw over $1.2 billion in sales. As of August 2021, over 89,000 successful NFT sales had been conducted, and this figure is only going to rise. From tweets to GIFs, music albums to gaming and paintings, NFTs have made their way into diverse fields. This trend is likely to continue in the foreseeable future, with NFTs paving the way for more use-cases and applications, such as more enticing pieces of digital art, and revolutionizing the ownership of digital assets.

Several NFT platforms have come up in the last year, and the most promising ones among them is Quadrifolium. Experts advise making investments in CryptoClovers now because the platform awaits its Guinness World Records approval. CryptoClovers, the brand collection of Quadrifolium that runs on the Binance Smart Chain, facilitating cheaper and faster NFT transactions compared to popular Ethereum marketplaces like Opensea.

CryptoClovers is turning heads among NFT enthusiasts, and here we have an exclusive interview with the CEO of CryptoClovers, who is no less than an NFT guru.

Ques. Tell us a bit about you?

Ans. As you know, my name is Tibere, and I am a blockchain enthusiast. I am a French coming from the south, Marseille! I lived there for the first 17 years of my life, and after that, I moved to Prague in the Czech Republic, where I finished my studies and started my active professional life.

Ques. What is your educational background?

Ans. I am a lifelong learner and believe in solving real-life problems. However, as far as my academic background is concerned, I graduated with a Master of International Management degree and went on to get a National Diploma in Web Design and Development.

Ques. Why did you start an NFT project?

Ans. I was always interested in art in general and wanted to sell digital items online. When I first heard about NFTs, I was working on a huge application that was far different from it. It was a sports application to connect athletes and coaches, but with the onset of Covid, I could not launch it because of the global restrictions. So I decided to learn more about blockchain and started reusing some codes we had earlier developed to bring a NFT marketplace, Quadrifolium. With the DeFi space booming, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to dip my hands into the pool of possibilities and seeing the ongoing progressions, and it was crystal clear in my mind that it was a great time to do it!

Ques. How would you explain NFTs to newbies?

Ans. In simple words, one can call something “non-fungible” when it is unique, one-of-its-kind, and cannot be replaced or exchanged with anything else. NFTs are photo, video, audio, or any digital products wherein ownership of the item can be easily tracked, thanks to the underlying blockchain technology. It is like a digital book where data is stored and is impossible to tamper with.

Ques. How would you explain digital art to people who do not understand its purpose?

Ans. Art, in general, is what I consider to be a trace of humanity that somehow generates interest and emotion in a community. Digital art contains the essence and has the same impact on people. Art that you cannot touch in physical form but can definitely see through screens, feeling same overwhelming emotions, is digital art.

Ques. Is basic art far different from digital art?

Ans. Not so much; the only difference, perhaps, is that with basic art, one gets to experience hands-on, while digital art, as the name suggests, can only be experienced virtually. Both are human creations, but before Blockchain technology, the authenticity of digital artwork could not be accurately evaluated as it was pretty easy to reproduce as many copies of a digital file as you’d want. It was next to impossible for a lay user to tell which one was the original. Thanks to Blockchain tech, it is now possible to track a digital creative and know who currently owns it and who its original creator was.

In other words, if you duplicate the creation of an NFT that is not put on the blockchain or not backed by its original creator, then you easily identify it to be fake.

Ques. How would you tell people to invest in it?

Ans. As in traditional art, when a painting gets famous, it gets accolades from around the world. The same is the case with NFTs; an exquisite piece of digital artwork will most certainly get recognition sooner or later. Therefore, I recommend people to buy NFTs because we are still in the nascent stages, and the future looks very promising, as we have seen from its rising popularity in recent times. You stand to gain multifold returns if they invest at the right time. However, besides its financial side, I would recommend that people buy anything that gives them pleasure to own; NFTs undoubtedly fall under this category of things.

Ques. How did you come with the idea of CryptoClovers?

Ans. As a kid, I always saw my mother put four-leaf clovers in her wallet. She used to tell me that it would bring us luck. I always found this fascinating even though it was just a belief. While learning about NFTs and Blochchain I realized that I could bring this lucky concept real by developing smart contracts that will offer royalties and passive ownership of NFTs. So realizing this took me back to the four-leaf clovers. I felt the need to showcase it to the world digitally with a world-famous symbol.

Ques. How difficult was it to make a million clovers?

Ans. I’m not going to lie; it was extremely challenging to come up with them. It involved a lot of critical thinking, lots of manual design implementations, and tons of coding and mathematics as well! Bringing the support design to life is challenging, but it is nothing compared to the underlying process. When creating such a massive collection of NFTs, you need to think about so many factors involved. For instance, you need to be able to upload them in a hassle-free manner and then also mint them.

This is what inspired me to develop our marketplace with lazy minting. Just uploading them took us four computers working 24h a day for around two months, involving a lot of manual work and people! To further add to our woes, at times, some files did not even get uploaded successfully, and we needed to re-upload these large batches again. It was indeed frustrating!

Ques. Can you tell us more about the design techniques that were used to create such a huge number of collectibles?

Ans. Sure! We used a few pieces of software such as Adobe’s Illustrator to bring a large number of caps, eyes, and mouths to give each NFT its uniqueness. Besides, we created algorithms of our own which we were able to implement to the software that helped us achieve smooth design automation and bring about these many variations that can be seen today. Like I said before, this was quite challenging.

Ques. How do you see the future of CryptoClovers?

Ans. I see it reaching great heights! I genuinely believe that we are unique and that a vast community will appreciate our work! Thanks to the world record that Guinness World Records will soon validate, I can see it bringing tremendous value to its investors!

Ques. Who is your target audience?

Ans.

We don’t have a targeted audience per se, as art is something that people of distinct tastes can appreciate. However, we believe this new kind of Lucky-token can attract people interested in finance, art, crypto trading, and gambling.

Ques. What clovers do you recommend people to buy? Are any levels better than others?

Ans. I may sound a bit biased here as I like the golden edition more than others because it required a lot of effort and manual work, and I thoroughly enjoyed creating them. This doesn’t mean that other art pieces are not a good buy. All of them are equally good, and as they are priced differently and with so many designs available, it is better to leave it to users to choose the one(s) they like the most.

Ques. How did you set up the CryptoClover prices?

Ans. As you know, there are 15 design themes or categories that we call “Levels”, and there is one additional category for the golden edition, making it 16 categories in total. Each category has a specific quantity of NFTs. The more unique the design is, the less supply for that particular collection there is, making the design(s) more rare and scarce. In essence, the price of NFTs is derived from the scarcity of the design.

So, to come up with CryptoClovers’ prices, we took the total number of NFTs in a specific collection and divided it by the total number NFTs, which is 999999, and multiplied it by 100. The result is a percentage share of the design. We calculate this percentage share for all the sixteen categories. The price of 0.5 BNB was determined for the least costly level showcasing the highest number of supplies. The prices of other designs were calculated by inverse proportionality using 0.5 BNB as a base price, keeping the percentage share of the cheapest design as a constant and the percentage share of the other design as a variable. This is how we derive the price of NFTs for each specific design.

Ques. Why have you developed Quadrifolium?

Ans. As I mentioned before, I intended to develop an NFT marketplace where people can create their NFTs, collect digital artworks created by others, and so on. However, I was unsure how to solve the chicken and egg problem — what should I bring first, supply or suppliers? The general notion is that you need to bring artists first whose work you can showcase to attract users to the platform. However, in my case, I really wanted to be the artist myself as I enjoy graphic designing! Another reason was that I did not want to create something simple, something that may have been done previously. I wanted it to be something massive that creates value for both creators and collectors. With all these thoughts running on my mind, it also struck me to go for a world record, and you know the rest!

Ques. Why Binance Smart Chain?

Ans. Ethereum had the first-mover advantage in the NFT space, and because of this reason and its general popularity, it seems better to people, and Ethereum has been the preferred Blockchain for NFTs for a while. Ethereum has also backed some fantastic projects in the DeFi arena. But it is quite expensive to mint items on the Ethereum blockchain. Hence, we wanted to go for a cheaper alternative that also has an extensive adoption and could allow for much larger participation of NFT enthusiasts. Besides, I am quite an admirer of CZ! He has created a revolutionary project in such a short period. He has essentially created the Amazon of the crypto world and the way it continues to evolve! We may even see him at one of the top positions in Forbes! It has been a pleasure for me to have developed my project on Binance Smart Chain.

Ques. Why don’t you implement your own crypto into the project?

Ans. We have been looking into it, but it is not our prime focus for now. As we are just commencing, I feel it is not the right time yet. But, we’re not eliminating its possibility, and we may introduce our own crypto in the near future.

Ques. Are you working on another project right now?

Ans. I continue to work on improving Quadrifolium. Presently, we are not planning to bring another NFT collection, but there is another project that I have been parallelly working on, which is my sports application.

Conclusion

As rightly emphasized by Tibere, CryptoClovers is a one-of-its-kind NFT marketplace that comes with 999999 unique and scarce digital artworks divided into 16 categories. Once CryptoClovers receives its Guinness Record, the road goes only onwards and higher for its investors. NFT platforms are not just the paradise for artists; they are also the haven where art admirers have a chance to own, store and flaunt their art collections. Not to forget the financial gains that NFT investments promise!

While Quadrifolium supports artists to sell their products, CryptoClovers already hosts a historic number of digital artwork, diligently created by Tibere’s team. If you are thinking to direct your funds into NFT investments, then CryptoClovers is undoubtedly one of the best avenues you can look into!
